And hated it.
It sucks. The power is... adequate at best. Struggles uphill, but I didn’t expect much better. It handles okay, but the brakes feel so vague. The interior is pretty cheap for a Benz and the cheap plastic creaks in a few areas.
It’s really uncomfortable. You feel every bump in the road and not in the good sense.
It’s small in size so it is easy to parallel park. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the money though, just to tell your friends you bought a Benz (even if it is the cheapest new one you can buy).

For the price of the CLA250, BMW will sell you a 3 series with cheap plastics, fake leather, and no power. Basically, they’ll sell you an appliance with cheap internals.

Saw a GLA yesterday. I can’t believe people think that is an SUV.

Merc is as good at making cheap cars as Hyundai is at making luxury cars.

Ha! A John Deere lawnmower is probably more fun to drive than a 320/328i!

Despite the marque the Equus is quite luxurious.
Despite the marque the CLA is quite cheap.
...I can buy it.

Hahaha, but the 3 is a genuinely good car. Lacking in equipment is something I agree with, but none of the competition can really stack up (ATS is close, but suffers from crap interior design, engine blah blah)

It also looks like a melting stick of butter. Which is not an attractive quality in most cars.

They’re selling tons of these turds. Just goes to show that a badge can help sell a crappy car. In image-conscious Toronto, these things are everywhere. Have driven one, was not impressed.

I agree in the sense that it is still a good car whether the leather is real or not. It’s remained on top for quite a while now.
Personally I’d take the ATS for a few reasons. For starters I think it looks better, I haven’t liked the look of a 3-series since the early 2000’s. Also, a lot of people don’t have them which I like. The interior isn’t that great but it’s not too far off the BMW, CUE is still horrible though. I’d also argue that the ATS drives as good, if not better than the 3 series. As for engines, the base 2.5 is garbage but the 2.0T is solid and definitely a great choice. The 3.6 is a really good engine but I think it would benefit a lot from turbocharging. Doesn’t need a huge power boost like the ATS-V but just enough to give the torque down low. Overall, I think I'd find myself happier buying a ATS than a 3-series.
